Note: All home­work is due at the begin­ning of class on the day men­tioned. Home­work is not accepted dur­ing class. You must com­plete all home­work assigned in class and always have all notes and home­work with you in class.

March

1. Please pre­pare for your upcom­ing revi­sion tests.

Your test on top­ics 1 and 4 will be on Fri­day, March 16th

Your test on top­ics 2 and 5 will be on Fri­day, March 23rd.

Feb­ru­ary

1. CA6 (on the paper 1 case) will be on Fri­day, Feb­ru­ary 10th. The test will include def­i­n­i­tions (and a lot of them) In addi­tion, they have to pre­pare the fol­low­ing tools: SWOT analy­sis, PEST analy­sis a force field analy­sis, a Porter 5 forces and a Crit­i­cal Path Analy­sis. Also, both moti­va­tion and lead­er­ship will be cov­ered in the test.

2. Com­plete ques­tions 2.6.2 and 2.6.4 for home­work. Due on Mon­day, Feb 6th.

3. Please com­plete Ques­tion 2.7.3 (a and b) for home­work. Due Feb­ru­ary 7th. And also your 2.8 notes will be rechecked (and remarked) that day. So it’s another chance to get marks for the same work or again to lose marks if you haven’t done it. Always bring your notes to class.

4. Your chap­ter mind maps (with at least four mnemon­ics) are due on Fri­day, Feb­ru­ary 17th.

Jan­u­ary

1. Please write your answers to the Case 1 Prac­tice Ques­tions on this wiki page.

2. Notes deadlines:

Your 2.7 notes are due on Wednes­day, Jan­u­ary 18th

4. As assigned in class, please com­plete ques­tions 5.8.4 and 5.8.5 for home­work (due Fri­day, Nov 25). Also please have a look at the pre­sen­ta­tion for 1.9, which we will very quickly review in class.

Octo­ber

1. Your next test will be on Fri­day, Octo­ber 21st. CA3 will be on Topic 4.4, 4.5 and 4.7.

3. Sec­ond draft dead­line is 8th Novem­ber (Tues­day), dur­ing class time. (This final dead­line is about one week after your final due due date for the Extended Essay). Note that fail­ing to turn in your first draft or your sec­ond draft on time will auto­mat­i­cally mean a Sat­ur­day deten­tion to catch up with the work. Mr Nield  has gra­ciously offered to hold an IA Ses­sion in the com­puter labs on Sat­ur­day, 15th of Octo­ber from 9am until 12pm. Please let me know if plan to attend.

(Here it is). Obvi­ously, your AA’s are the experts on this, but I wanted to give you my 2 cents worth as well.

10. Please read this note about how to eval­u­ate in IB Busi­ness. This is one of the weak­nesses in your tests that we’ll have to over­come before the Decem­ber exam.

1. Please con­sider adding the NPR Planet Money Pod­cast (Link here) to your iTunes pod­casts. They are full of great exam­ples and very rel­e­vant to our course. At the very least, please spend 20 min­utes either lis­ten­ing to their pod­cast, or read­ing their blog as part of your home­work for the first week.

2. Don’t for­get that your 4.1 and 4.2 notes are due August 19th.
