Handing In Assignments

You should submit BOTH an electronic version of your work to Turnitin (using the login information provided on the homework site) AND one identical paper copy in class in the first 5 minutes of class due date. If you miss class you should still get it into Turnitin.com on time (because the site will lock up automatically), but you can submit the paper copy in the next class you have with me.

Re-Read the Question

Even though you’re just about finished your assignment, it is still worth going back and re-reading the question, to make sure you are: a) answering the question and b) answering a question in a way that’s going to get you top marks.

Citing your sources

Double check that you’re citing your sources properly. You can use www.easybib.com (MLA format) if you aren’t sure about something.

Using Turnitin.com

Don’t forget to submit a copy to Turnitin.com.

A student has just asked what file type it needs to be in to upload unto the site. It looks like Open Office (.odt) isn’t supported, so you’ll have to save it in Open Office as one of the file types listed below. Only the following file types are currently supported by Turnitin:

Word (.doc(x))
WordPerfect (.wpd)
PostScript (.ps)
PDF (.pdf)
Plain Text (.txt)
Rich Text Format (.rtf)
HTML (.html)
